Rights and limits of online participation

In previous parts of the lesson, you had the task of identifying people or groups of people who are victims of hate-speech, cyber-bullying, cyber-grooming, cyber-stalking, or cyber-mobbing. Choose one of these cases, which according to your previous analysis is the most widespread in your country in the social media environment.

We often see that society is not sufficiently educated and that better awareness of related topics could prevent spreading hate speech or bullying.

Formulate your own plan of how you can contribute to raising awareness of the selected category of inappropriate behavior on the Internet. Design the exact steps, goals, tools, and resources you will need to accomplish this project. Don’t be afraid to think bigger and set more challenging goals.

Then consider the actual implementation of your plan. Our tip: if you need financial resources to implement the plan, ask a youth organization focused on education in your city for help. They can suggest you a suitable project scheme.

When you are done with your plan, please save your material as .doc or .pdf and upload it using the field below.
