In this lesson we will discuss how attitudes of journalists and news outlets impact information. We will also discuss what is ethical language in journalism and why diversity in the newsroom matters.
Firstly, we will get to know two theories: framing theory and the hierarchy of influences model that explain how journalists can shape public understanding and perceptions of issues.
Secondly, we will discuss definition of ethical language and why journalists must be aware of the traps of misleading language.
Finally, we will analyze concept of diversity in the newsroom, which refers to having a range of different backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences among journalists, editors, and other media professionals.
